HRF tells Family Violence Law Review that domestic violence is a problem of gender

A submission from the HRF to the Family Violence Law Review says that domestic or family violence is a gendered problem which impacts disproportionately on women and children. The control and coercion at the heart of nearly all IPV is based on gendered notions of male dominance, male entitlement and lack of respect for women and children.
